Tech Session with my LP640 at Lamborghini Bellevue
It's funny that you say that because there was at one point a V12 Range Rover that was going to be developed. I love what VW/ Audi did Bentley and Lambo from keeping the Coventry 6.75 Turbo V8 still in development to your engine. Something about the engine in the LP640, being based on the F1 inspired Bizzarini V12 the original cars came with just speaks heritage to me!
That would be funny... just a big cage crammed with hamsters.

I never play the stereo in my LP and just love the sound of the engine. That's music enough to me. Funny, in my other cars, I don't want to hear it at all, ever.
I didn't know that. Lamborghini is fighting government regulation in lots of countries to be able to go in the direction they want with engine development. They argue that their production runs are so small that regardless of what they put out, it's not enough to amount to anything they want to maintain heritage while still advancing the technology.

to be fair. the hamsters would be really cool and have little Fedora's on.
why would governments regulate such a small company? it can't be about smog with such a small production line. I get that Ford has to produce so many high mpg cars for all the trucks they produce but how could a handful of lambos create any stir?

Have you been to our event yet? It doesn't sound like you have. I suggest coming first. This last time, we had the lot expanded enough that we were working on a row of M3 that wanted to attend. We had the room because of weather. I told them to let us know next time and we'd work on finding a space for them too. We've been over this many times and we think our event is working. I'd like to see Gig Harbor or Southcenter work too and there is no reason we can't have different events.
If we said this was a classic show, you'd probably not be upset, but somehow when we use the term "exotic" people start to think that should include everything.

I also don't understand why you keep thinking I'm "upset", I'm not. Nor is anyone else that choose not to attend, I don't think. And I think "classic" is a little more defined type of car than "exotic", which if I recall, still has not been formally defined. Is a bone stock, unmodified, small-volume car that is parked in the same area week after week after week worth the "exotic" definition and therefore a guaranteed spot every time? If you define it as so, then I would probably be more inclined to show up, because it's defined and expected. But if you run an event where you decide on a whim who goes where like a popularity contest, I have no desire to attend. That's just my personal preference.
I don't feel I'm missing anything because I know I will attend other, more open and inclusive meets. I can see all the exotic cars I want on the internet, there's tons of pics. But I have no desire to meet and hang out with people who refuse to bring their rare exotic car out without a special roped off section for just them to park. Just like I'm sure they have no desire to meet and hang out with a bunch of suped-up Scions, Civics, and Integras, or bone stock Audis, BMWs, or VWs. And that's 100% OK by me. I don't think you should be "upset" because your meet is not one I would enjoy.
I haven't made it out yet, and I respectfully decline. I don't see the difference between the folks that you state don't want to bring their rare exotic cars to a C&C-type meet, and myself that doesn't want to bring my car to a meet that I may or may not be able to park where I want. Please explain how that makes me different.

Ok, maybe not completely stock any more. I mean it is 6 days old now.
Mark will park his Mini next to me.
I think I followed you down Newport Way towards I-405 this morning in my Audi A3. (Your paper plate was in the front window.) I don't know what sort of electronics you've installed, but as long as I was following you (I turned off onto Lake Washington Blvd.) my Valentine 1 was going crazy getting up to 9 hits, front, back and side, on K band. Interestingly the Passport 9500CI didn't make a peep.

If it's the same car I saw this morning, it looked a little darker gray than the avatar depicts. Beautiful none the less.

I always say I'd be the absolute WORST car collector, because I'd drive every single one of them as much as I could and would park them anywhere, let anyone take a seat inside, and take anyone for a spin if they asked, no matter how rare or expensive the car was. You only live once, might as well share the experience with as many people as possible.
d j p my mini isn't stock. it's the only carrara white mini in the country. it's more rare than anything in these them there parts. but i still park near ya.
parked next to a s5 today at pacific place and it had some really cool audi wheels i'll have to look closely at your's when i see her in person

I have no addtional electronics installed in the car. Not sure what was setting it off. Possible the LED lights. I remember reading somewhere that some LED tail lights can set off radar detectors, so maybe it was my LED headlights.
As for the color, the pic does make it look a little different. Depending on the light, the car looks much different than pictures. Much better in person if you ask me. Although maybe it's just because I suck at pictures.
That was me. I though that was you.
