I can never get enough of the historic races! Here is the info for the event at Portland International coming up this weekend.
I have a few buddies headed down to this. Are any of you guys planning on going? Todd and I may head down on Sunday.

Bring the whole family to the Baxter Auto Parts Portland Historic Races this year, so Grandma can regale the kids with stories of racing open wheelers in the ‘30s. By mid-July, the weather is almost always good enough to guarantee that nobody needs the rain tires. Be sure to stand at the beginning of the front straight when the Historic Trans Am Camaros, Mustangs and other American V-8s get on the power – you can feel it in your chest! Featured marque will be the IMSA Grand Touring Prototype ( GTP ) cars.
Come on out and help to make the Porsche car corral larger than all of the other makes.

I've gone to this event three times before with the BMW club and had fun every time. Unfortunately it's happening on the same weekend as Mark's 40th birthday so I can't make it this year. You guys will have fun down there. Be sure to go to the "food sampler" tent. For a few bucks, you get to sample a bunch of different wines, cheese, snacks, etc. It's on the other side of the "bridge" over the track. Not sure if they still have it nowadays though.
