Boxstergirlie's Spectre 341 Challenge/Virginia City Hillclimb Thread~

The stickers will be staying for awhile. I'm not ready to give up the moment quite yet. The event is fresh in my memory and I want to keep it there awhile. Plus, my car looks pretty cool now. I also have the white Spectre' sticker across the nose as VR thought the decals looks pretty hot in that location. His is red and mine is white.

I just want to add a personal note here...thank you, thank you, thank you...there is a reason that this car forum is the best in the world and it is because of our members...I know from talking to Alex that not all the members here got along with him, in fact, many disliked him...but those of you in that group have either simply paid your respects or if you did not have anything good to say, you said nothing....I want to thank all of you for the extreme level of class that you have shown...you can go on any other car forum and you will see all the petty, tasteless posts by individuals that used this time of sadness to strike out at Alex as if he were still with us...I feel blessed to be a part of this great "family" as Jody put it...RIP Alex

Robb,
I honestly don't know. They were going to give us our times at the awards dinner, but I had to leave a bit early to drive 15 hours back home. They (Spectre) is going to send us all a folder of pictures of our cars along with our times. I think they'll email me to let me know as well. I didn't make it under 3:41 though, I know that for sure. I'm guessing I'm in the mid to high 4:00's. That was a steep incline and HOT outside. My Boxster gave it all she's got. LOL! I had a blast running that hill though.
Chuck....Yes! I indeed had the fastest "Boxster" time up there!

Hi Jodi, you did indeed have the fastest Boxster on the hill :-).....Your best time was a 4:22.004 ave speed of 71.45mph........pretty darn good for a first time running. I'd love to be able to tell you that you beat that $202.50 110hp Miata in front of you, but I can't :-).......The Miata had a best of 4:14.385 ave speed of 73.59mph....Maybe next year you'll get me.....Your new friends from the hill, Paul & Sean........

Ah the "love" of the internet...
Alex was polarizing and made lots of "friends" over the years.
You can't please everybody. He went out with a bang, and was doing what he loved 'till the end... Beyond all that stuff in the link you posted, it's nothing that hasn't been posted before here and elsewhere... To my knowledge Alex was never prosecuted for anything claimed by those on the web...
Chuck, you should probably delete the above link and my response... It's really not the place for this stuff...
RIP Alex...
