I JUST SAW THIS!!!! While my search for my next car continues - I went to build another XKR, and saw the 550hp XKR-S sitting there as pretty as can be. I love the way this car looks, on the outside as well as in.

Does anybody know what kind of transmission is in there? All the website told me was 'automatic'.

its a regular torque converter automatic but it does blip on downshifts and is reasonably quick. not sure how many gears though

CRAP! I'm completely taken by the looks, and performance on paper. It is a stunning car with the power Jag's should have had for years.

This is almost the perfect car (for me). It looks like an Aston Martin DB9 and GT-R had a baby.

I love it. I owe it to this car and myself to test drive that transmission.

I'd love to... But the nearest Jaguar dealer is at least 65 miles away, and the odds of that one having one on hand is slim. Looks like I've got some calls to make.

Pending this - I think I found my next favorite car. I really hope the transmission isn't too smooth and lazy.

TRUST ME, IT ISN'T, ZF 6 speed semi auto, crisp changes up and down. Select dynamic mode, gears won't change unless you hit the paddles. Blip the throttle too hard too quick and it will set the rear wheels a light. Almost too hot to handle

While the XKR-S has a very aggressive front facia, the base model looks more prissy. I like the 2010-2011 much more. The 2007-2009 was nice as well. The vent openings on this new model just aren't doing anything for me.
