i had a pretty similar setup. i was running the 3.12 pulley and did 403whp on a mustang dyno. i'm liking the 07 hood!

the hood is seibon carbon fiber in cold weather the car has seen 12.2 psi however i am running water+meth all the time as soon as the boost kicks in the meth is on to prevent strain on my stock engine hopefully soon going built engine and gonna run 20psi should be interesting

i also forgot to mention i have transgo valve body and uprev tcu software
for the auto tranny to hold and not slip

Mabrouk KOKO:)Hellooooooooo

killacam 06-16-2011 02:30 PM

at 20 psi you're going to have a lot of issues with belts slipping. if you're gonna build the engine might as well go turbo.

Nice Whip

RED350Z 06-17-2011 03:36 AM

Well turbo would make for a better powerband and more power overall however wouldnt think that my auto tranny would handle the added torque and stress. Is there no solution for belt slippage at 20psi !!!

TIMROD mod will help.

I don't think that the Vortech kit is really capable of making 20PSI even with a 2.87 pulley.

If you're building the motor for big power why not ditch the auto tranny???

RED350Z 06-19-2011 12:52 AM

A T-Trim unit can handle 20psi as it has a bigger turbine wheel however without a pulley saver kit you will have major issues in belt slippage.

Nice project, congrats

what do you think of this? :http://speedhunters.com/archive/2011...arged-z33.aspx

Which is why I mentioned TIMROD mod... <--google. It is a reroute of the serp belt with the addition of another pulley.
I don't know what other breather mods you have done for exhaust or plenum; but headers and tp's could probably gain you a few more hp if you haven't done that already.

RED350Z 06-24-2011 02:11 AM

I already have xerd longtube headers and hks td exhaust. I have bc stg2 cams and spacer plus mrev2 with aftermarket maf

The work has been done at a shop called hydra performance

RED350Z 06-24-2011 02:13 AM

I definetly like the car cant go wrong with white but would have liked it be TT or at least run more boost 5 psi is not a car that i would pay money to supercharge and only run 5 psi

It's amazing the amount if dressing up he did to the engine for that lil bit of boost ;)

We call that a "Tease" in the deep south!
