Some pics from an event I was invited to in LA for the release the other night. This is going to be a huge car for the aftermarket.

Not sure which route I'm going to go (most likely the Subaru BRZ) but I'm going to sell my M3 and get one. Love the fact Japan is bringing back the affordable RWD sports car. I loved the late 80s and early 90s for that reason.

I like the concept car much more:
Saw it in person at Sema 2011.

Slightly reminded me of the LF-A curves and a Volvo trunk

Do you think that Lexus will build a rich kids' version of this toy that is way cheaper than the LF-A???

I just paid a visit to the Lexus site and they have a concept called the LS-LC which is a hybrid. It looks alot like the FR-S except more rich kiddier!!!

word on the street is that these are selling for 30k euros. That's almost $40k in USD. with only 200hp, i think it's $10k overpriced.

Car and driver estimates they will be starting in the low to mid 20's which isn't bad if you think about it!!

more than $10k overpriced. $20k to $25k sounds more suitable. also, you should never do a direct conversion from euro to usd on most of cars (i've yet to see one so i will leave it at that).

the concept car is a lot more aggressive looking.

subaru or scion? tough decision.

FR-S: $24,930 msrp base
BRZ: rumored $1-2k more but comes with HIDs + more standard features

I will buy 10 of these if they sell at 25k. Cash in hand.

Don't think that's gonna happen. They are selling for 29k euros. I predict the base price at least 30-32k. Hyundai Genesis looks just as good and has better interior, engine and equipment.

Nice find. I may choose the Scion over Sub since the Toyota dealer is closer. White looks good...
