īThe only 4-door GT that is superior to it is the AM Rapide.
Other than that, this thing is on top of its game.

well done by the guys in Stuttgart:)

they should share engineers with BMW to produce the ultimate sports sedan :D

The 4 flat for the turbo is very impressive for a car of this caliber. Not to sound like an idiot, but is the turbo going to be awd too? I am assuming yes?

Spyderidol 03-25-2009 02:21 AM

Yup!

But no 6-speed manual, only PDK.

Awesome post! Price doesn't look bad as well!

Eh? We are all complaining about the pricing in the other thread.

And remember, 4 flat is probably conservative. I bet Road&Track gets 3.8 seconds, at most.

gyoung 03-30-2009 09:03 PM

wow 4 secs with 4300lbs

Tuskir 03-31-2009 01:47 PM

6 year-old E55 AMG does 0-60 in 4.2 seconds (at 1/3 the price) so these times are not all that outrageous IMO. The handling of that thing will probably be far more impressive than its acceleration.

USCCayman 03-31-2009 11:16 PM

I'm betting the car mags will have it quicker than the Porsche quote. Maybe much quicker.

Looks like a great bang for the buck

amazing how they can pull that off (performance numbers) with such weight.
if this thing really can prove those numbers, hands down.

really curious what AM rapide's performance numbers are

Panamera Performance

My Porsche dealer just ran a configuration on a Panamera for me. Print-out stated that 0-60 for the Turbo is 4.0, 3.8 with sports chrono. If, as is often stated, Porsche 0-60 figures are conservative, the Panamera is going to be an amazing car. I'm unaware of any coupe that will do 0-60 in 3.8.
