wow surprised 18's fit over those massive front brakes...

Is it my poor eyesight or is the right front quarter panel a different shade of black?

Must be snow or salt.

that is right- just the build up zone. not sure why it followed the door cut zone?

the 18" can also be put on the turbo as well but the caliper room will be even smaller - snow build up might be an issue.

still waffleling Tim - blowing around in foot deep snow with the GTS is hard to give up. had to plow over a couple are large snow banks downtown where they still had not cleared.

sure the P4S could do it in high mode - see what happens

Now that is how to get around in the snow. nice pics!

Looks good. Lots of snow here. I assume the 18" cut through the snow better. Mine is ordered with 20" summer tires, but I'm debating what winter size to get. Anyone tried 18" vs larger on any car in the snow as a comparison?

Nice to see the car being used......

A skinnier, taller 18" wheel will always give better cutting action than a wider, flatter 20" tire will. That's why our preferred package for a 911 has a 265 rear - the tire does much better plowing through snow.

for snows thin is in - personal but i think the 18 inch wheel looks better than any of the 19's

I disagree. I think 20" on some cars look like BLING, but the Panamera is large enough that when I saw, side by side, 18" on one Panamera and 20" on another, the 20" looked just right and the 18" to small. I do think I will get the 18" for snow though.

Targa Tim Jan 5, 2010 09:42 PM

^you misunderstood his post, he is not talking size.

I agree with Cpa4S that the 18" wheel design looks better than the 19" ones.
