FVD Brombacher - Exhaust Video's

Many people ask how our exhaust's compare to others on the market. They want to know what sets our systems apart from the competition? The answer is simple, racing.

M&M Exhaust GmbH produce our entire “Brombacher” exhaust line. They are primarily a racing manufacturer and have exhaust systems running in these racing series: Porsche Super Cup, Carrera Cup Deutschland, ADAC GT Masters, ALMS / LMS, VLN / BF Goodrich, FIA GT and Rallye Meistershaft. They also produce the current Cup R and RSR exhausts. Not one of our competitors can make that same claim.

As we all know, racing developments translate to higher performing streetcars and the same is true for our street exhausts. M&M’s experience and design prowess equates to some of the lightest, most powerful and most reliable exhausts available. The FVD “Brombacher” Panamera® exhaust line is no exception. M&M have gone to great lengths to make the Panamera® systems powerful, exotic sounding and all without drone.

In an effort to shed more light on the pedigree of our exhaust systems I am posting this M&M newsletter. It is in German but you will see the cars that they are currently making exhaust systems for.

Hello all... My name is Vinnie and I had the pleasure of installing the level 2 kit for the Panamera Turbo you see in the video above at my shop in Baton Rouge LA. Wanted to help get the word out about this kit. I have had many questions by potential clients for this kit and im sure some of you do as well. I will be happy to answer whatever comments, questions or concerns you may have. Ill try and touch on some things you may want to know.

Reliability
- my turbo hit the streets Feb. 11 and have had several calls on how happy my client is. Previous vehicle was an AMG V12 bi-turbo, with performance upgrades. He has said, "the Panamera is unbelievably faster". No issues what-so-ever.

Sound
- Did you hear the video???? The sound is great, thats not a question. I have heard online and personally other exhausts for this car. There ok, its hard to make a big V8 sound bad, however, the best of the best is what you want when you do this. And FVD' is the best. "If your not first your last", thanks Rikky Bobby. Enough about the great sound. Everyone wants to know about the droan. The imfamous noise that we cant seem to stop talking about. From what my client has told me, "no annoying exhaust tones", clear conversation can be held while driving. You hear an exhaust system. If I paid for it I want to hear it.

Installation
- If you think because you change your own oil you can handle installing cats on a Panamera Turbo, you will be eating humble pie for weeks as your dignity and bloodied knuckles heal. If you've got the cajones and want to play like the big dogs, get the full exhaust. But leave it to a well trusted shop for the install. The level of difficulty on the cats is very high. You CANNOT rush removing the cats. The issue is not with the new exhaust going in but rather the stock one coming out. The turbo studs are sure to either snap in half, pull the threads out of the turbo, gall-up the threads on the studs and/or nuts. I had 4 break, which requires drilling and tapping. And all 11 holes were chased and new studs installed. Total time on the cats was about 10 hours and a heafty bar tab:) Im sure someone has some trick for not having this happen and can do it without any issue what-so-ever, I say, "prove-it"!!!! lol
Im not telling you this to keep you from getting the cats but to give whoever does the install for you a fair chance of not loosing there shirt on the job.
The DME is very easy to remove and install, but please leave it to a compotent person. The remainder of the exhaust system goes in smoothly. The quality of the kit is incredible. The fitment is perfect. One of the worst things to have is your buddy with a prybar trying to get a hole to line up while you sneek in the bolt. If it dont fit, it dont fit!!! Write that down.....

What to expect when expecting:)
- after you get it back, you will notcie that when you start it up you can sence the cries of other Panamera owners who opted not to get the kit. Seriously, its that awesome!!! And not at all annoying. As I drove past my shop, pretending to be Tom Cruse in TOP GUN buzzing the tower:) a few folks outside had comented on its sound. "Ever been out on the lake and had the big cigarette boats fly by at full throttle", thats what its like.

Look, Ive delt with FVD for quite a while now. The customer service, is excellent, the product is excellent. I havent had a single issue with any product from them. And yes ive bought a lot of stuff. Theres only a hand full of cars, espically 911 Turbos's, in Baton Rouge that dont have some upgrade from FVD. And not one single failure/issue.
I got to give it to Rhonda, she knows her stuff and is always a pleasure to talk to. And Flo, my flash guru. Dude knows his stuff. Again, all are really cool. Hopefully this post can answer some questions on the product. If I need to go more in detail with anything, feel free to ask.

Ya know I didnt foget to mention...

Power-
It comes on strong. I can like it to a Z06, Yeah I said Z06. Mash the gas on a Z06 and feel the tail end get a little loose. Thats how fast this all wheel drive behemoth is. Whats even more fun is about a 10 mph roll to full throttle. And if you use launch control. HOLD ON. Its a rocket. I have an additional video of it blowing the doors off a 996 turbo 0-100 mph. Its fast, cant stress it enough. Id like to see it at Texas mile.

If you live near Baton Rouge let me know if you would like to see the car in person. I may be able to set that up. Also, here is the link for the latest drive a group of us went on. We try to set these up every other month. Check bak time to time for new dates.
