My Turbo's forgotten it's a Turbo...

My PTT (out of warranty) went into an independent (but Porsche specialist) workshop for a battery change last week. Apparently on 'reboot' they had issues with the PDCC and had to drain and refill the system... But that isn't the only thing that changed.

My Turbo now thinks it's a 4S (or stock Panamera, can't really tell). Here's the symptom list:

- Display shows "Panamera" instead of "turbo" at startup
- No display of boost level (not in the menus anywhere)
- Rear spoiler rises but doesn't "open" (split)
- Hesitation around 3000 rpm (although doesn't feel significantly slower)

Workshop says 'oops' and they can fix it, going back in on Thursday for a "recoding"... Anyone else ever seen this? (I'm not overly concerned but it's amusing all the same).

The other (ongoing and unresolved) issue I'm having is creaking from the front suspension whenever there's significant suspension movement (over humps at slow speed, braking hard to a stop from high speed)... Workshop has replaced various bushes and re-tightened other suspension elements but it's only made a slight difference.

I have a similar creaking with my 2010 PTT - there is one spot in my office parking lot near a sewer drain and every time I roll over it (usually 5-10 mph) the passenger front suspension makes a bunch of racket so please keep me informed if they find a solution for you.

I was always worried they dont upload the powerkit software, just the regular turbo...now I know its possible to screw it up and beyond...:(

I brought mine in for the creaking front suspension. The front bushings/bearings are exposed and therefore have to be re-lubed occasionally. There's a thread here somewhere that describes this issue as well as the resolution. I referenced it when I made my appointment with the dealer. Covered under my CPO warranty. In case anyone is interested, I took it in for this problem with about 60k on the odometer.

All the more reason to take it back to Porsche. There are possible updates you may need as well. Too much software.

phil612, ever get this fixed? Software issues are one of the big things holding me back from taking a chance on a retro-fit of a turbo spoiler on my S.

My tolerance of having the car in the shop for any amount of time is very low.

i also get the creaks , specially when i first drive off.....no software issues though.
