Did you guys cross shop the Audi S6?
I decided to order the 2014 Panamera 4S.
I agreed with everyone on here that said the Audi was a bit too docile in the looks department and the interior just doesn't compare.
Thanks for all the help guys.

NICE>......you are going to f'in love it!! I find these boards (rennnlist as well) so uber helpful in my decision. Welcome to the club man, and keep us posted on the car. I have 1900 miles on the Panny GTS, and man o man, the car just rocks. I have to think the P4s will be super fun as well (tho not as badazz as the GTS......)
You made a good choice. Plus, you can always get the S6 when you are 74!

Thanks for the incredible feedback guys.
Here is my build.
Panamera 4S
1. Bose Audio Package
2. Premium Package Plus ( Heated Seats. PASM with Air suspension, Power steering plus, LCA, 4 zone climate control, Keyless go, rearview camera, 14 way power seats with memory, ventilated seats)
3. Black/Carrera Red full leather interior
4. Instruments in Luxor Beige
5. Heated Multi function Carbon Fiber steering wheel
MSRP- 113,355
Late Sept Delivery. 5% discount on this order.
I am going to wait till my vehicle comes in to make sure it is the same offsets as the current Panameras before I can order some rims for it. Thinking HRE, Modulare, ADV1 or DPE.
Now the waiting game...

All looks great....the LCA us a serious must to me, as is the b/u camera. I would seriously rethink the boosted steering....this is a sports car, and the stock steering feel is awesome. of course, this is a debated topic, so search the threads. or, better yet, see if the dealer has two cars you can spin back to back, one with and one without.
As for the Bose, I have it , and its perfectly fine, unless you are a serious audiophile.
Lastly, is PSE an option on the '14 car?, or standard? if an option, get it!

I would of loved to get the Adaptive cruise for its active safety feature which saved my butt a couple times in my CTT but I wanted to keep the price is far down as possible with getting some fun options!
I had the same option when I had the 2010 Panamera Turbo, and I actually liked it in the parking lots. My CTT has the same equipment as well so all is not lost.
Bose was plenty good. Had the Burm in my PTT and in my CTT now. Absolutely remarkable audio system for a car. Audio is my thing but I couldn't justify at 6grand so I went with full leather instead.
The PSE sounds remarkable in the GTS. It's incredible with the sound symposer system but the regular S guys don't get the symposer like in the GTS so the exhaust is actually quite muted even on.
BTW, COLE your GTS is *****in!
I guess I'm the odd guy here, cause I would pick the S6 over the panny. I had a modded 2011 CTT with Burm, PDCC, 620hp/tq and all the other goodies. It was amazing, but after 18months, I was ready for something different. As much as I like the panny's, it would be too similar too the CTT. As for the OP, you already have a CTT and had a PTT, why would you get another (slower even) panny?
An S6 can be modded with an extra 80hp for about 3k and yes it does not handle as great as a panny, but you would only really feel that on a track. The S6 does handle quite amazingly for a sedan, but porsche has this category locked in compared to the competition. And all you guys saying the audi has bad interior
, it is usually considered the best interior by many. You can't go wrong with a panny, if I had the choice not so sure.

ZZZspeed, ultimately I was in the same dilemma.
I thought the S6 was the better value, might be the better commuter (120miles daily) and probably provided 90% of the performance.
I actually went from 997 C2S vert to PTT to my 550 (thought it was the practical choice since I put so many miles) now back to a Pan. I thought the S6 in terms of its drive, feel and kick in the butt factor to be too closely related to my 550. The styling didn't me either. Also I thought it was rather odd for a 85K vehicle not to have automatic trunk close feature. It is a small item to be quarreling about but for that much money, the car should be in the details. I felt a difference between the 2 vehicles, but not enough of a difference and ultimately felt like I was going to get bored of this thing rather quickly too.
So now I'm back in a Pan which I feel is a 4 door 911 on steroids. After 2 years, I'll probably get bored of this too and will have an itch I need to scratch. I think only members of this forum and car enthusiasts will understand the insanity of this...

Fkim,
I do understand. We are really sick car addicts. I finally come to understand that no matter how great a car is, I will become bored of it after 8 to 18 months and my eyes will wander.
I have to calculate this quick car turnover into my decision now with car choices.

As for the original S6 debate, handling and modding aside, the exterior styling of that car is really as boring as it gets...like a rectangle on wheels I personally would not buy one even if it blew the doors off of the GTS. When I walk up to my car, seriously...I get wood baby!

I have HRE P40's on my 2012 PTT. I see you are in S. Calif. so you might want to consider calling Wheel Enhancement who is in LA ( a board sponsor here). The are great to deal with and can handle your wheel needs. They know HRE and others very well. I have bought a number of sets of wheels for them and drive up from OC to do business with them. They know their stuff.
They told me what wheels to order on my car, so I got the tires I needed for the new wheels (same size). They then bought the "new" take offs from me for $150 more that the option price on the wheels, so it ended up saving me some money and I did not have to buy tires for the new wheels.
Enjoy,
You won't regret your decision.
