It's here but have question

The Pan TT that I am buying is here now at the dealership I LOVE IT! That being said there are issues 1- It's missing everything out of the trunk (Tool kit, air pump.....) question is what should be in there?
Next during the shipment (I guess) it has a chip in the windshield and scratches on the hood. Can't wait to get it home and on the road

Did you order this car ?

Does the windshield need to be replaced? If the dealer had noticed the chip first, they could have replaced it and you will never know.

is this car new or used?

I never heard of a dealer showing the buyer a damaged car prior to delivering the car. I would look to get the price lowered if they need to respray the hood. When you go to trade / sell the car if someone throws a paint meter on it it will look like a front end hit that was not documented to some people. Even the likely overspray around the hood might throw up some red flags for people.

I seem to recall another thread where the OP posted about his search and this dealer locating the car and having it shipped in. However, that's no way for a Porsche dealer to deliver a car...unless the OP knew beforehand about the missing items. Nonetheless, the windshield and paint chip should be/have been addressed by the shipper or the carrier.

The dealer replaced a chip windshield when my wife bought here CPO cayman R.

Ok so they had no idea I was going to show up at the lot but being like a kid at Christmas (I have been stalking the lot). They had it in the back so that is how I saw it. Now the hood is not that deep that it will need to be repainted (IMO) but I am aware that is they do repaint it I may pay for that down the road.

It's used 2010 PanTT getting it at a great price but still wondering if it should have had all the equipment in the rear.

Yes, it should have had a compressor and toolkit. Period. Ifs its a CPO car - it should have it. If its non CPO - who knows - its sold AS IS.

If the damages to the hood and windshied occurred during the shipping process, then why wouldn't the shipper or the carrier bear that responsibility?

Ok guess I say that the dealer is fixing the paint and windsheild, my only mentioned the issues as part of the details for the post. My main concern is what should be in the rear tool area. I don't want to hàyou all thinking that they (dealer) is trying to pass off any obligation/cost for the issues. Thanks for all the input and advice I appreciate everything you all have to say this is a great site and form.

Thanks for the clarification. As to your main concern then, I think it would much depend on how the condition of the car was presented when you chose it. As another poster indicated, all of the OEM equipment would need to be with the car if it is CPO; otherwise, it may well be "as is". Hopefully, you also will have all of the keys and books.
