Official Build Thread Panamera Turbo. Performance Mods/Exterior Mods/Custom Fab Parts
Hey Guys,
As I stated in my hello to the forum thread, I'm starting a official build thread on the forum. The process will most likely take until Spring/Summer of 2017 to finish everything I have planned for this car. I will be doing everything in order from Tune to full bolt ons, from custom fabricated intercoolers to bigger turbos and a built trans. I will be most likely working with a few vendors on this forum for some minor tune parts and maybe even bigger projects. The goal for this thread is to go after building the fastest biggest HP Panamera Turbo in the country. I will be focusing my attention to the perfomance side of things in the beginning because the car already looks good on the exterior and interior. I will post pictures and DIY mods as I go along with this project. I have built many cars with many sponsors and a lot of help from Vendors on ideas and of course crossing the line of what was already done. I'm not looking to slap a bunch of parts on the car cross my fingers and hope it makes a lot of power. I will be testing and tuning all the parts going on the car as I go. I would love to have any input or ideas as I go that way it can be done the right way first time around. I already know where to start with the bolt ons and so on. Before any mods start happening my first goal is to get the car running as best as possible stock. I have only owned this car 2 weeks and have made 2 track events since that time.
First Track Event
Bone Stock 11.9
Second Track Event
Bone Stock 11.8
I will be heading out to get a 11.7 pass bone stock before I start messing with lighter wheels and weight reduction and going for a goal of 11.5-11.6 bone stock with just a good tire.
Modifications Planned so far
Custom Race Intercoolers (I have a fabrication shop local that will do these for me)
Custom Exhaust (Im still debating getting downpipes and full exhaust that is from a vendor vs building my own exhaust) I want something that will be friendly for the street and can also be very unique for the track.
Larger TB (most likely the GT3 TB, I will also have this TB ported and polished)
Turbo S Intake Manifold ( I will be looking into this part to see how much gains I can make)
IPD PLENUM (we all know what that is)
Custom Intercooler and Intake Piping.
Turbos and Manifolds (most likely I will build a custom kit like I have done in the past) I need to do a lot more research before this mod happens.
Transmission (I will see how the trans holds up with the Tune and full bolt on car once the Turbo project starts I will see where I need to go with the Trans)
For Cosmetic Mods I will be doing wheels and front and rear bumper not decided on which one yet. I will also be doing a lot of little mods here and there but will keep everyone up to date as these come along. These are not the first on my list but def need to do them to stand out from the crowd.
Here are the pictures of the car as it sits currently.

82mm is more than enough and its actually 84mm , I dont know why porsche quotes 82 . Also it will only work with agency 3 inch y-pipe , because of the silicone couplers. Bigger than that I am afraid you will lose the air velocity.

Nice project bro !!
Can i ask about ipd plenum ? Somesay that ipd plenum is not taking much different ?
Also , where to get the turbo S manifold ? What's the turbo S manifold for ..?
Thanks

So its better to buy fabspeed stainless steel 2.75 inch y-pipe or agency 3inch y-pipe . Until now , benblack confirmed that the silicone coupler of agency y-pipe fit the upgrated gt3 throttlebody very well .
for the turbo S manifold (ix80) , I had a discussion with fvd , becauase they were the first offering it . They replied that if its part of porsche powerkit it should add hp and my butt dyno says yes
