New Panamera 971

Traded in the 2010 Panamera Turbo with Exhaust, Wheels and Tune for a 2017 Panamera Base with PASM and Premium Package.

Huge difference in the two cars.

Thinking of doing a resonator delete and bmc on this one and leaving it alone.

Any posts on the resonator delete?

Thanks!

Looking for an exhaust for it.

You get so much on a "base" Panamera. Congratulations.

Good looking ride! I have he same exact one! 🤙🏼

Great looking ride.

Question, you say HUGE difference? I have been Pan shopping and new prices are fairly enticing when you compare a standard 17 or 18 vs a GTS or Turbo earlier model.

What is the huge difference? and does the standard model fall short or does the advances make up for losing the TT??

Thanks

The 971 handles more like my 991 Turbo. Its feels sportier, body roll is much better.

The new interior is amazing! Makes the 970 feel like something out of the 70's. Apple car play and the info screen makes it feel more like a S class or 7 series.

The lag in the 970 was pretty bad, 971 is peppy and sounds better.

Its my daily driver and the base has the perfect amount of power for daily driving in so cal. I would have loved the "s" but they didnt have a huge CPO inventory of new Panameras.

I haven t driven a 971 but I do hear that the lag on the turbos is less as in all their turbo engines.
I must be old school because I still like all the buttons and switches over the I pad look, LOL.

we just got 2018 CPO pan4S volcano / Red, PP+ and massage seat + ACC, PASM. we drove it to LA from SF. it is nice ride, quick. Full tank 21 gal, 586 miles. 356 miles trip @75-84 and sometime at 140mph. we still have 200 miles left at the end

. impressive ... good mileage, better than our old 2016 pan4. almost same mileage as my 2016 pan hybrid.
Here what i don't like a little LAG @ normal setting. Sport mode is better, no lag. many features were disable while driving due to safety. the car is super quiet. I can't hear the exhaust sound loudly. I hear the sound all right, pan4s has thermal noise insulated glass. If I stand outside, I can hear the muffler sound loudly when my wife takes off quickly . I can't compare with 2016 4s or turbo. But the new 2018 pan4s drive is firmer and better than my wife previos 2016 pan4 or my 2016 pan hybrid. You need to test drive the new 4s at Porsche and judge it.

hmm - I had a 971, 2018 base model for about a month while my 2013 S was in the shop. I would not say the car handled any better - maybe very slightly more agile. But I missed the V8 a lot more than I appreciated any minor improvement in nimbleness. FWIW - that was my experience anyway. And I was very happy to get my old V8 car back!!
