970.2 US to EU taillight swap

I got a 2014 Panamera GTS, with the US spec red taillight blinkers. And I don't like red blinkers.
So I ordered a set of European taillights that have the orange blinker.
Tried to install them today and disappointment; the plug on the new taillights has the little plastic tab a little offset so as to not be able to connect the wires from car.
Doesn't look like it'll be plug and play as I hoped.
Anyone ever did this swap?

Even though the male/female plugs do not fit, you may be able to connect the wires through readily available wire joints. The key here is that the wire colors of the chassis match the wire colors of the taillight assembly.
