side vent being wrapped?

hey all can the side fender vents on the panamera be wrapped or must they be removed to be wrapped? it seems labor intensive to take out the side vents

I guess they could be wrapped, but after removing them the proper way to do it will be to remove them for wrapping or painting...I wouldn't do it with them on the car...too complex of a piece.

To remove the vents properly means to remove the fender? Or do they pop out somehow?

yeah makes sense it is a complex piece for wrapping, is it hard to get the fenders out?

newporsche 08-12-2018 09:34 PM

i dont think they pop out :(

You need to take off the wheels/fender liner and they pop out. :) . I pooped mine out and painted them two years ago.

is it a long process to do that OE?

Eh...you're taking the wheels off...remove the trim...and then you have to push it out cause they snap in....I wouldn't try to rush it and I did it when I had time to let the painted parts cure properly. You could just buy another set do customize and minimize your down time.

I changed mine out to chrome. It's not difficult, but you need to remove some of the screws from the fender lining, so you can reach behind the vents. I think there were 4 screws inside the well, and 2 underneath the car directly below the vent. There's a plastic piece on the inside that's clipped onto the vent securing it.
