After Market exhaust systems for 970 PPT 2010-13

To anyone with the PSE thinking it doesn’t sound great or isn’t much different than stock - do yourself a favor and let someone else drive the car away while you stand behind it!
I too too was somewhat underwhelmed by the sound when hitting the sport exhaust button until I tried this little “experiment”. I was truly amazed at how great it sounded outside the car when my friend pulled away! It really does sound awesome!
that being said I’m still contemplating options to free up a little more back pressure - lol.

Geez I guess I need to get a suction cup for my GoPro to test this out. I have PSE and it sounds good at startup but can’t hear it when running. My neighbours already don’t like my Cayman when it starts up so I would rather spend the money on HP too.

Loved my 2010 4S with the PSE - recently got into a 2016 PTTS which is insane but doesn't have the PSE and is whisper quiet. Just ordered full PSE system from local porsche dealer due to be installed next week. Looked at aftermarket but PSE was actually cheaper than the Akrapovic and better suits my needs. I fully expect the PTTS PSE to be more muffled than my NA V8 4S because of the turbos but still love how it sounds.
If anyone cares, I also test drove a 2016 GTS and it sounded just about identical to my 2010 4S with PSE. You could hear just a hint of air pressure with the sound symposer kicking in during gear shifts but nothing dramatically different. The biggest difference between the GTS and 4S (and even the PTTS) is that it's always "on" and raring to go, even in comfort mode.

It's ok but still lacks aggressive sound. Keep in mind that turbos act as "mufflers" and reduce sound levels. I had 200-cell cats with aftermarket exhaust and it had a nice rumble at idle but was lacking a fantastic sound over 3K RPM and/or WOT.
