Hi
I'm fairly new to Porsche and this forum so hi.
I've bought a 2012 Panamera S and love it, just going over yhe options it has/hasn't got so a few questions.
Mine isn't fitted with a Subwoofer so I just have the polystyrene storage bin in its place. I'd like to fit a Sub and can buy one off ebay, question is how does it connect electrically ??
I've looked and cant find a spare loom/socket for the Sub to plug into ?
Could anyone supply photos of where the standard Sub plugs in please ?
Thanks
Izzy
Just to clarify, the Sub I'm looking to fit is the factory Panamera Sub that fits in the boot space. Currently I have the factory polystyrene stoage bucket in the space where the Sub fits.
Mechanically I can see how it fits but I'm simply not sure how it would connect in electrically ?
I'm guessing there is a seperate harness required that connects into the harness/socket on the Sub and connects somewhere into the vehicles main harness ??? I have no idea ??
Any help greatfully recieved.
cheers
I can tell you the Bose sub I have does not have enough bass at all. The amount you are going to spend will not be worth if. There are some after market subs that slide into the cubby holes on the side or you can have a custom one built under the lid.
Hi
Thanks for the reply.
Would you be able to post a photo of where the Bose sub plugs in please ??
I can borrow one to try and if its ok go with that for now.
Just cant see where it plugs in ?
cheers
Izxy

I got my car back this evening and took a pic but it doesn’t show where they connected into my bose sub. I will remove it this weekend and see where it is connected. I saw on another board. Someone tapped into speaker in passenger rear door.
hi
Thanks for the info, I guess this is the more expensive Burmester Sub and very nice it looks to.
Looks like the car wiring plugs into the larger right hand side plug on the amp ?
The problem I have is I havent got a clue where to pick up these wires and what the specific burmester plug part is ?
Yes the larger plug on the right just goes into the car loom and disappears. The smaller one on the left is internal (well, it disappears into the sub itself).
I think you might have to run your own bespoke speaker looms...
