997.2 Muffler band clamps TSB

997.2 Muffler band clamps TSB

Looks like the rear center muffler band clamps may be overtightened from the factoy and can snap. The fix includes the replacement of the two clamps and the addition of two spacers to stop overtightening.

15 min repair at dealer.

I was told about this by my dealer about 3 weeks ago, but 2 days later I installed the Sharkwerks bypass pipe, so I do not worry anymore about this issue

I am leary about going to the local dealer since I did not buy the car from them. Is this recall on all cars or just certain VIN's?
