Plans are well in motion and final details should be completed in the next day or two. I met with Beowulf last evening and we toured our selected hotel, the Hilton Atlanta Northeast. They are very gracious and eager to host us. We will have a private parking area for attendees for the entire weekend (Friday-Sunday) as well as an excellent room rate of just $74 per night plus tax. There will be several surprises during the weekend, but here's just a sample of what's to come:

9:00am: AMG Photo Shoot/Meet, Hilton Atlanta Northeast (Norcross, GA)

11:00am: Technical Session with Mercedes-AMG and MBUSA reps

1:00pm: Caravan departs for Dyno runs

8:30am: Caravan departs from the hotel for Silver Dollar Raceway

Registration: If you plan to attend (even if only for the photo shoot), you must request a registration packet (free) by e-mailing your request to AtlantaAMGmeet@hotmail.com. The registration packets will be forwarded by e-mail beginning September 18th.

Please request your registration packet asap as there is LIMITED SPACE for the dyno runs (approximately 25 cars) and the slots will be filled on a first come, first-served basis. Note: Above times may be subject to change slightly.

Word is there is a Caravan heading up from Florida and one coming down from the MD/DC/VA areas.

oh man... why so far from nyc... hm.. should i drive an AMG or my p-car... so hard to decide.. haha

 

If you're gonna drive down there is a guy in NY with a C43 that could drive down with you. Then you guys can meet up a few of us on your way and we can caravan down! Now THAT would be fun!

 

that would be awsome. hm... how long of a drive is it from nyc? 8 hours?

 

Its 10 hours according to mapquest form here so you're lookin at about 14 hours from NYC. I have a radar detector so It should take about 12 hours.

Our special guest for the weekend will be the AMG Brand Manager for the United States. He has accepted our invitation and will be coming down to join in the festivities.

All door prizes will be given away at either the lunch or evening banquet (including the FREE tires), but you must be pre-registered for these events. The deadline for receipt of the completed forms is October 25th as we must provide the hotel with a guaranteed number at that time for meals. We have a very small variance and "walk-in" registrations/guests may not be able to be accommodated.
