DB7 is not same as DB9, it is same as XJS (5 x 120.65). Early Vanq is 5 X 108 (same as S-type Jag) while 2nd gen Vanq is 5 X 128.

DB9 and DBS are the same, so it could be done, but I'm sure the cost would be prohibitive, as are most things Aston. You'd be better off trading your 2+0 for a 2+2. Or a Rapide.

Bypass the switch, you don't need it, do you? The disconnect button (and reconnect) is just a failure waiting to strand you. The more you use them, the sooner they fail, so never use them!

Autoenginuity is not cheap, but has an AM module that can be added to the basic functions. Still far cheaper than the AMDS option.

Ugly-ass SLS or drop-dead gorgeous Vanquish? Not remotely in the same league. The SLS will not appreciate any more than the Vanquish (or lose any less). At least with the Vanquish you'll feel special...

Maverick solved his problem by having the engine rebuilt by B&R. New rod bearings, piston rings, cylinder liners. Don't know if the pistons were changed, but indications are they were still good.

Astons are always priced higher than their competition. The last Vanquish was well over $300k, so expecting this one to be significantly less is a pipe dream. $400K is probably closer to the mark.
