Eric, I am having my Tookie and Dension installed this week (along with my radar/laser systems). I was just wondering - I have noticed you post these upgrades periodically. Is this something that I will need to do after my system is installed to keep it up to date? I assume my installer (Benchmark) gets these notifications also? Thanks for the clarification.

 

Updates are recommended, and since these devices can be firmware updated, there is no hardware change, and that is a good thing. But it's up to you to be aware of any updates, so you can check websites for that information anytime too.

Dension has a USB port for such updating, using a USB thumb drive. Most installers put the unit in the front trunk where this is accessible.

Eric, got my Tookie installed today but my T-mobile Dash would not sink. The guys at Benchmark think it may be because I have Mobile Windows version 5 on there and they suggested I get it updated to version 6. (One of them had a Dash with V.6 and it did sink). I have Goodlink software, for my company linking, so hopefully that is not causing the problem. Any thoughts? thanks. (they did all the updates). Thanks.
