No, it's much smaller than a Targo. It actually permits more daylight into the car when it is closed than when it is opened up.

The only thing I'll comment on (since I don't have it!) is the way the sunroof in glass looks on lighter colored cars. I absolutely wanted this option on my car, but I can't get over the ragged edges.

These areas should have been smoother and more evenly matched with the side pillars (both front and rear).

Love the glass roof. Let's lot of light into the car, making the cabin feel larger. And, i think it really complements the car, especially if you've got tinted windows. Really helps tie everything together.

I think it looks great on lighter colored cars, mine is Carmine Red, but for me the best thing is the way it scavenges air out of the cabin when it is in the tilt up position. With the vents open and the back of the sunroof up, it sucks the warm, stale, been through my lungs, air out and fresh air in, in seconds. Also have it on my Mini. Looks maybe a little odd from the outside when open, but love it from the inside for all the reasons stated by others here.

Love it in our 2015 C2S! Looks great from the outside and really "opens" up the cabin!

Add me to the chorus of glass S/R proponents. In fact, along with the Burmester, it's my favorite non-performance related option.

When I learned that the glass S/R would be offered for the first time in MY2013, I delayed Euro delivery until just after the start of MY13 production in May of 2012. Soon after the initial run with this option, there was a problem with the supplier and the option wasn't available for several months. Hence I had one of the only 991s so equipped in my area for most most of CY2012.

For use in hot, sunny climes, I recommend a good IR blocking film on the S/R glass. I've been happy with Huper Optik on all the glass in my 991.

You can't really tell the glass from a metal S/R in my DBM, so ethetics are not really a concern for me, but FWIW, here's my car in the Dolomiti after Zuffenhausen delivery...

The solution to this is to have the panels in front of and behind the movable part of the glass painted in body color. That's what I'm going to do when I find my 991. I don't understand why they even offer a metal sunroof in the first place...

I love the pics of the glass sunroof on white. Do you have any pics of the glass sunroof from the interior? I'd be interested to see pictures of what it looks like with the sunshade open or shut. Also, how do you control the sunshade? I think I read it's electric, so is it controlled by the sequence of using the same buttons?

Thanks!

There are separate buttons for the shade and the roof. I had the glass covered with Uper Optik (along with all other glass surfaces) so that I could keep the shade retracted on all but the hottest days with overhead sun.

Couldn't resist! One of my favorite options on the car. I like it tons better than the reg sunroof.

Can someone post pictures of the glass sunroof from the interior of the car? It'd also be great to see what the sunshade looks like and the button for the shade. Thanks!

It's a no-brainer on a black car - you cannot even tell it is glass from the outside unless you look closely. I have it on my 2013 C2S and have no rattles at all. Love the light it lets in the winter, the open air feel (and sound of the PSE) in the summer with it open. The shade keeps it dark on the inside when I want it to be.

One thing about the electric sunshade and the glass sunroof...feels so precise, so smooth to open and close, and looks so good. Love it!
