Black painted side skirts/lip?

Hi all,

Going to replace my chewed up front lip as a winter project.
I've been wanting them painted to match the car (midnight blue) anyways but I
started thinking about what they'd look like painted gloss black on a dark car.
Has anyone done this or seen a car with gloss black skirts/lip?

Just curious as I haven't been able to find a Midnight Blue car setup this way.

Best

You should try photoshopping the colors you want on your own car and see if you like it.

I literally just installed my new front lip this weekend on my Atlas Grey .1. It was painted gloss black and cleared.

I keep contemplating painting mine cobalt, but then I mangle it some more the next day.

My first thought is that if it got chewed up the first time, it's going to get banged up and look pretty bad fairly quickly as paint will crack and chip in a way that makes the damage larger and more noticeable.

What color wheels? That will help accent. I like the idea but one issue could be that the colors are so close you may not really be able to appreciate the difference.

I have the stock 19"s ....I'm one of the few who actually like the wheels but I don't like the chrome/polished finish. I'd like to have them powder coated black or gun metal.
Its possible that a black wheel and black trim would just blend too much...
mod course...I could just go nuts and do a deep bronze wheel! Too much? Haha!

dude... I know it's your car and do what you want... but in my opinion dark blue and black is a bad color combo.also wheels should be light enough to see details and provide more contrast than very dark blue and black. gunmetal would be far superior imho.

black trim and wheels work better here. So does the polished lip on the wheel vs all black, though oldschool isnt how i would have gone here either.
