So I've been running some ideas with what I'm planning to do when I get a Panny shortly, been shopping weekly. Since I was a kid my Dad's 911 SC had that light bar that I have always associated with all Porsche's and it has stuck with me for years. So I'm planning to customize one out of thin reflective prism plastic sheet but I haven't decided if I will add an LED light strip bar under it because I don't know if I will be able to match the bulb size and pattern to keep a cohesive look...BTW a local customizing shop will be doing the work for me . I'm also planning to lightly smoke all the rear lighting with red cherry but nothing dark or extreme. The look I have in mind would leave the big white signal lights as strips of white light to match the same look of the reverse lights. I would also eliminate the Panamera S emblem because I feel it will look too busy with the light bar. Or I may eliminate the Porsche emblem and place the Panamera emblem above the light bar instead. It's an idea that I thought I would share. If executed well it should look good. Let me know your thoughts on the plan.
I used MS paint to edit this so excuse the lack of editing skills and quality.
will look like this at night. sorry like the dodge chargers at night it would be hideous.
LOL..I can see how you would think that. But your vision is wrong.
These pictures are a better idea of what it may look like due to the light shape, it's a Porsche not a Dodge. And the LED lights would be optional because I have no idea if I'll be able to find a set up that would have the same bulb size and spacing to match. So most likely a non-lit reflective bar would be the best option like on a 997 C4S.
I just found this one. Looks Gemballa did it a while ago.
