New DTRL LED replacement Bulbs

I just installed these LED bulbs to replace my DTRLs that seem to burn out every 6 months. I tried LEDs about 4 years ago but the technology wasn't up to it at the time.

These new lights are great and extremely bright - but, the drawback is that the bulbs are much (much) bigger than the stock lights and so the focal point for the reflector does not hit the LED at the perfect spot. The result is that the lights are not as bright as they should be. Still thinking about a way around that. These bulbs are so much bigger, I had to Dremel the diameter of the socket a little bigger just to get them in.

I really like the colour compared to OEM though - now, the DTRLs match the low beams. I bought them on Amazon - they are Leewos and seem to be really nice quality.

Got a link to these? I searched Leewos and came up with a ton of bulbs.

The light looks purple but perhaps that's just the pics. R they a much better match in person?

Here is the link... https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I only had to Dremel a little of the inside of the light socket - nothing that would affect putting back an OEM bulb...

I like the color. In Canada your fog lights are your DTRL, is that correct? Is your car an original Canadian car with DTRL or did you have to have the DTRL turned on...and if so, do you remember how it was done? Thanks.

Yes, fogs are DTRL and are required in Canada. It was originally a Florida car, but it had DTRL when I got it. I think it is just a matter of plugging in the DTRL module to make it work - Just something else you have to get from the dealer.
