We have tested with them. I have a slightly used set of 3" electric cut outs with 2.5" bypass pipes all welded up (i.e. valve closed, exhaust is diverted to the 2.5" pipe) that we would sell if you are interested. They are V-flanged on each end in order to be introduced "in-line" and to be able to reduce the sound level at a flick of a switch. I would have to verify the length, but they are approximately 8"-9" OAL.
Hi guys, wanted to share my vision as well.
here's 997 GT3 muffler with button controlled flaps and 100 cel cats.
Flaps closed the exhaust gases flow via 2" pipe and the muffled sections. Sound level pretty quiet but sporty with very little drone.
Flaps open it's short and straight 2.5" from the cats.
Sound level brutal, max power with no restriction whatsoever.
The sound level is easy to lower by changing the bolted outlets size, forexample before track measurements..
Now planning to build similar setup with 3" piping due to increased power levels. Btw this exhaust is for sale if interested
