Had a bunch of minor stuff done at the dealership to bring her up to date and replaced the radio/navi with a Kenwood DDX9903S to get Bluetooth, Android Auto, Google Maps, Pandora, rear view backup camera and more.
Thanks for listening!
Hello and welcome to the club!
Hope you don't mind but I have a question...what was the (approx.) cost for the head unit upgrade? I'm toying around with that idea myself.
Thanks.

While I was at it, I got 6 new Focal Flax speakers and a JL Audio XD400 amp. Replaced the air filter with one from K & N and we are ready to go! Car drives awesome and the sound system is too cool. I think my first question I'll post in a separate thread is going to be about a cold air intake upgrade. I had the K & N on my Lexus IS350 and liked it. Looks like my only option now is a Fabspeed model. I searched and found a thread, but nothing posted recently. I've read pros and cons...

$799 for the Kenwood. It's very cool. Rearview camera was crucial to me. Virtually no visibility out that little window, especially at night. HD camera w/ color coded lane markers showing distance is great. Love Bluetooth for my phone, love Google maps and Pandora. Even the compass widget is cool!
Thanks so much for your reply and that link. That is exactly what I was looking for! When I put my car's info into the K&N Website, no CAI showed up as compatible. Now I know what works. I have to $$ recover from the audio upgrade and then I can't wait to go with the CAI! Thanks again.

It definitely works in the 997. One of my favorite mods. just the sound alone makes you smile. Enjoy your new Porsche 911. I always say... driving a Porsche is like taking the red pill over the blue pill. You will never look at cars the same way again
I would touch the "send activation" button but nothing ever came until today. I thought it was an advertisement or a hoax. Anyway, I enjoy this site so here is a pic of mine and an earlier pic.
Hi guys. This is my first post and I figured I'd put up pics of my baby. Currently the only mods are Borla headers and exhaust, along with a new engine from RND.
