Infamous Stereo Alarm

Hey everyone,

I installed a Pioneer AVH-4200 double din with a Kenwood X801-5 amp in my 2004 cab. Seems like it's going to be a great system! After reading up on everything, I never saw the infamous alarm wire anywhere. I'm planning to bring home a mirror from work to see if something may have dropped behind the plastic inside the dash. I'm getting a double horn beep and the doors don't lock, so I'm pretty sure it has to do with the stereo install. The CDR-23 door stop has the insulated pad on the left side, but I swear there wasn't a switch on the left side where I read it should have been. No brown or brown/blue stripe wire, either! Is there something we're missing? My son with better eyes didn't see anything, either! I've reinstalled the original metal frame, thinking it may be part of the ground system but it's still the same. There's gotta be something that'll make us do a forehead slap lol! I'll try to give a detailed install thread once I get the alarm fixed. I'd appreciate any help you folks can give us!

Thanks in advance!

Phil

If I recall correctly, if you leave the glove box lid open, you get a single beep from the horn, but the doors will still lock. If the radio switch were not contacting the radio, you should get the same result. So, there might be something else going on. Good luck.
