Looks great as always, is it horrible i love your plate so much, that i want to steal it for a Florida plate haha
Nope - do it!
I get people who follow me into gas stations and ask what it stands for, which is always fun. You either get it, or you don't, no in between. I like it because it is fun without being obnoxious IMO.
Few updates - took the turbo to Mid Ohio for a two day event. What an amazing track! I had a blast. My dad and his friend showed up on the second day and snapped a few cool pics while i was on the track - figured i would share:
Putting on her dancing shoes and getting ready for the track.
I ran NT01's for the first time and was pretty happy with them, much better than the previous pilot super sports (as expected). Drove them to and from the track each day and 4 sessions each day in 85-90 degree temps. They held up great, gave great traction and were very predictable. Temps climbed about 5-7 psi on the track, so it took a few sessions to find the right cold pressures.
I just realized i hadn't posted any updates since late 2017... so here are the cliff notes to get me caught up:
Took the car to a track day with some friends as part of the local Lamborghini Festival. Had a good time and a buddy snapped a picture of my girlfriend and I rolling in:
In October i found out that Cookie Monster drives a 911... always knew that guy was legit!
In December i purchased a garage mate for Heidi and Isla (a 1991 C4 coupe with 83,000 miles) arrived in January. Unfortunately , most of the time and effort was spent modifying that car in 2018, however i still had plenty of time to wash and drive Heidi. The two cars are completely different and both awesome in their own regard.
Here's a pic from a random photo shoot a few friends did on an April morning:
I also spent some time attending other events to watch friends and snap pictures along with going on many weekend fun runs to stretch the cars legs. This is a buddy's 700+ whp 996 turbo - it is a rocket ship!
In the fall i attended another track event, however it rained for the first day. Surprisingly, i had a ton of fun in the rain and learned way more than i could've ever imagined. The NITTO NT01'S performed quite well in the rain which i wasn't expecting. I really like these tires.
In November i picked up a DAS sport Roll bar and had it powder coated red. To install i had to remove the Bose subwoofer from its factory spot, but do not mind. For awhile i had it in the car resting on the rear seats and zip tied down however when i went to the track i removed it to be safe and have never put it back in. I don't really miss it.
You can see the sub is still in the car in this picture:
I also had Brixton make me some custom center caps with the Porsche logo. I think this looks a bit more OEM and really like the look.
December was another track day. The car performed wonderfully as always and i had a blast yet again. This car is really quite amazing and insanely fun on a race track!
After a full year of tracking driving and maintaining the car. The paint had picked up quite a few small scratches, swirls and miscellaneous imperfections. I spent a week in January detailing the car and achieved amazing results. The paint looked the best it had ever looked.
A couple glamour shots after the detail:
This takes us to today: Took the car to the racetrack again this past weekend and again - another great weekend and such a blast. I really like the meatball number plates so i am pretty sure this will likely be my standard track set up for awhile.
The car just rolled 60,000 miles on the track on Sunday so i have some standard maintenance coming up in Mid may and then the plan is to drive and enjoy it. Next modifications are a fire extinguisher and i would like to get some GT2 seats if i can find a decent deal on some, however in no hurry to do that.
Thanks for stopping by and will try to keep the updates coming.
