man that wood looks awesome! I'd be interested in some blacker woods though for my black interior (I have the microspun alloy waterfall and its just 'ok') but something like mercedes black ash wood finish would be very cool, especially on the relatively bland leather covered doors

Wood does bend. It takes water and patience. Ask any fine wood worker, or boat builder for that matter.

The wood door panels should be available thru Q as it was an unofficial option after Works did mine.

Oh and than lets wrap the whole thing is some gawdy metallic wrap .
You pretty much summed up my project but I'm doing a satin black wrap.

My car is an 07 without factory navigation so the waterfall is one continuous piece with just the start button and air vents.

I am curious what you are doing with the shifter/bezel as I do like the DBS **** but am not a fan of the stock finish. The coating takes away from what should be a cool looking aluminum part. I have the metal ***** for my stereo controls so I could refinish them to go with a custom DBS shifter. That one part looks amazing and I look forward to seeing the other parts. Great idea!
My thoughts as well regarding the DBS shift ****.. This is what got me started on this project. My plan is a combination of polished and brushed nickel on the shift **** as well as the surround trim piece. I've got a couple extra used DBS shift ***** as well as lots of the other alloy bezels/***** laying around so we're going to experiment with a few different ideas. I'll definitely post pictures as this moved along in the coming weeks.

If you create one and I do not particularly like it please keep me in mind. I might like it and purchase it from you. I see anything you have in mind as an improvement over the stock DBS set-up. I could then send you my stereo ***** and ashtray door (which is now a door for an Audison Bit One DSP remote control/display) for them to refinish if I decide to go that route.

Will do! I'll get pictures posted as soon as they're available.

I liked the DBS interior from "Casino Royale" best.. Check out the alloy vents and the 2 tone shifter. Polished alloy ***** and bezels.. This is what I'm going for

The diamond stitching on the seats are coming next. Can't wait to get my steering wheel back in piano black and smooth leather.

I agree with that look. I am going to order some dark charcoal Alcantara to match my headliner with the intention of creating new door panel inserts and seat inserts. I will be going the quilting route just like that DBS. The only change is I will be using black thread to keep it more subtle. The rest of my interior is black thread so I want to keep that theme going as well.

I like everything about that particular DBS except the rubber shift boot. Make that out of Alcantara and it would be perfect.

Little progress report. Nickel plated ***** and bezels installed and the seats as well as the door panels are off at the upholstery shop for some work. They're being treated to diamond quilted stitching pattern. More pictures coming soon.

Looking great! One of the best interior projects I've seen, very tasteful upgrades.

No Ron.. I'm not much for the rubber boot. I think it kinda "cheapens" the look of the interior.

A few more pictures as I'm reassembling this weekend finally. Still waiting on the seats as well as the alloy shifter surround piece. I had it nickel plated along with the other aluminum bits but the finish was damaged when I ran a tap through the mounting holes to clean out the plating material from the holes. Turns out the plating is like an egg shell (as the plating expert describes it). So the act of running a tap through the holes caused the finish to begin cracking a bit around that area. Unfortunately he didn't run a screw into the threaded holes before plating.

I had to source a new shifter surround and I decided to go with a polished finish on it this time. It's going to be a mirror finish polish so I feel like it'll look similar enough to the plating to pull off the look I'm going for. Fingers crossed.. :/
