They definitely are rare... I was just talking to someone about that. I'm actually thinking of buying a black one and wrapping it in matte white.

Looks like I am in the wrong tax bracket for this board
While I can afford the car. The idea of spending 2 days and $1k between airfare and hotel to look at a car that I MIGHT find out I don't even like is hard to swallow. I am not financially at that point where I can justify doing this. There are enough of these around that I am sure I will eventually find one I like just a tad closer.
I may not be a real man according to this board, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.
GLWS!

Might be a silly question that reveals my total lack of knowledge, but.......
What's the difference between Carrara White and Biarritz White? Am I even getting those right?
This car is gorgeous - I don't think white is for me, but I sure like looking at someone else's purty virgin car.

I asked for up close pics, test drove a 996TT locally, had a PPI done by the Porsche dealer in Dallas, TX all prior to me spending one cent out of pocket. The PPI checked out so I made arrangements to fly out to Dallas, see the car in person, test drive it and have it shipped back to MD. All tolled, I spent about $1.25K on EVERYTHING (including shipping the car). I was no math major but I still think I made out on the ++++ side by about $2.75K in "making the effort" to see/purchase a car out of state. I don't view these things as a "nuisance"......I suppose some do.

When I make a first post on a board, I often try to make a positive impression; perhaps help out a bit, ask questions, and not step on any toes. Maybe I should apologize in advance...
Less than 24hrs?! Really? 20hrs, and that's it? Did you really expect to have people falling all over themselves that quickly? I've been checking the forum/Autotrader/eBay/etc regularly, but even looking here every 2-3days, you won't see drastic changes. So I click on the thread after my last stop only to find I'm already too late. Pity.
My point is, since selling my Supra I've been slowly leaning toward a 2001-'03 996TT, and favoring white at that. Seems its a little frustrating that for a brief second I might have a shot, only to click and find there's no point.
Hell, I'm even on your coast. Better luck next time I suppose.
