OVER MSRP seems to be a hot topic - all supply demand

Personally I think the car is a great car but at least offer the damn thing with a 6-speed manual! I want a Mercedes to be auto but not a GTR....

sorry i should of been more specific. I meant bother dealing with that dealer, not bother buying the car.
Was the dealer he was able to get on the list for, not sure if this was mentioned, but only a handful of dealers were able to get the GT-R cert with tooling to support service for the vehicle.

I love the "DSG" trany. Not sure what nissan calls it. On my M5 the SMG is brutal. The consistency is impossible to replicate. If you know how to drive it, it's as smooth as a well driven manual.

How else would you manage to do 0-60 in 3.3 seconds. (Nissan claims 3.5 but several cars tested have proved the 3.3) Also 11.50's 1/4 mile. SICK!

Can't wait to get it!

The tranny is very smooth. I drove a JDM one that was imported to CA. Very smooth and quick. The owner used to have a F430 and 360 and he said the GTR tranny is superb.

I think the GTR tranny makes the car. If it were manual, you probably would be a little disappointed in the GTR.

Stay with the Porsche. I think those GTR's are kind of funky looking.

I just got my order number and confirmation that the car is set for delivery in July 2008.

My dealer agreed not to charge a mark up; we will see when I sign the documents.

Jacko -- Let me run my GT-R against your Skyline. (I still have my 996TTS and is a full out race car; EVOMS stage 4 with larger turbos.)

Sup Orlando!

No mark up is awesome. You'll love it. Its very smooth driving and the tranny keeps you in boost. Extremely fast shifting. That's part of the trick to its performance.

Let's run! I got an in car camera to tape it and put it on Youtube.

- this isnt a versa, Nissan is investing alot to give the Premium experience for their GTR customers. They set the gt2 as a performance bar AND customer experience.

I think once the car hits the US and those curious P car owners walk into a GTR cert dealer they will see the similarities lol. the "its a nissan" syndrome will be short lived.
The dealer I was working with already failed to provide the "premium experience". The dealership's website listed one guy for GTR sales but I left 2 messages and got nothing. The 3rd time I called and asked for the GTR guy but they gave me the "other" GTR guy who knew nothing about the car or option packages. I told him to have the GTR guy give me a call and again nothing. Finally, once I talked to him it was clear he was a ******bag so even though an allocation was available I passed. I don't care how badass a car is, with this kind of service at pre-sale can you imagine how bad it would be once they get your money? Moral of the story, if I ever get passed by a GTR I won't feel bad.

Do you think your old fashion Skyline will keep up? (Just kidding.)

You still go to cars and coffee -- I might be there this Saturday with the Turbo.

Uh oh, do I hear a challenge?

Not sure what I can offer you, but free attorney hours would be a nice wager!

No C&C for me tomorrow. Got CHOC volunteering to do.

Saw a silver one today in Playa Vista (near Marina Del Rey), car looks pretty cool. The front end is definitely an unique design..
