I'm looking for a cheap beater car that I can daily drive for the summer. I'm only looking for local stuff in the Chicago area. My max budget is around $1.5k. Probably an Accord, Civic, Camry, or maybe even an e30 or Miata are what I have in mind. Go with a civic. I have a 96 Civic that is practically trouble-free as a DD for 14 yrs. An older BMW may be more trouble than its worth as a DD.

 

I have a 01 Civic EX 4-door auto 144K miles. Everything works including A/C. If your budget goes up some let me know.
