between this 100+ weather and lack of race gas tune I dont feel like getting emabarassed by a gt2 of that caliber I'll be there in the next few weeks. Might need to rent out your drag radials

I used to own a 10 sec pumpgas EVO IX and let me tell you... IF you know how to drive these cars, they are extremely difficult opponents...

The Porsche is no way 426awhp... The EVO would have spanked her pretty bad! Its more in the region of 550awhp...

Excuses. I was trying to run the GT2. If you come down there are always nice matchups. For the most part we hangout until midnight or so when the street clears out. One of my DRs doesnt hold air, I gotta fix either tire or rim.

Yeah he is good, his car is probably the best matchup that I had

When the alpha 9 ran the evo it was putting down 70 less whp and 80 less ft lbs than it does now. The gtr recently ran my friends cammed c6z06 that ran 11.0 at 130 on 20 inch rims and completely destroyed the vette.

Also, the tranny is not blown in the gtr. I have personally seen what is broken in it and its pretty minor. It will be up and running pretty soon.

 

yup - saw the video of the Z06 vs the GTR. from what i was told Leo raised the boost for the 2nd run with the Evo which is why the first run was dead even and the second run the GTR pulled hard.

as far as tranny damage goes - what you are saying is not what i was told. regardless Leo is good people so i certainly hope its cheaper/smaller rather then bigger/pricier repair.

also the Z06 you are speaking about - I assume thats your friends dads car that he brings out? few people have asked me if i would be up for running that car and i said sure - and nothing ever happened.

 

Yea, when he ran the z06 it was on a totally different tune by a different shop than when he ran the Evo. Made a ton more power.

I don't want to go into details of what broke but I've seen the parts first hand and its pretty minor- except for the fact that nissan does not sell spare parts.

You should run that vette. Love the kid but he needs a couple more beat downs

I have a red evo. Adam (black p-car with alphas) and I are going to try to make it out there one night to hang out with you guys. Hopefully by then I'll have a 911 turbo too.

 

Im not sure what happened at first it sounded like he wanted to run and that white procharged Vette too. Then I havent seen either one out.....just internet talk. Z06 sounds like fast car, should be a good run - I'm up for it.

Yeah Im curious who Adam's car feels in comparison to mine with both power and lag, his turbos are quiet a bit nicer then what i have...

 

Hey Prod what clutch are you running in your P? I'm getting ready to do the hybrids myself and was hoping to get feedback from some members of recommended clutch's. Right now I'm thinking CM's stage 3 or the AWE's Sachs 2.5. Any advice would be appreciated thanks!

- New OEM dual mass flywheel
- OEM GT2 Slave Cylinder
- OEM GT2 Master
- OEM GT2 Hydraulics

Drag racing without gt2 stuff is annoying and inconsistent.

i ran that Z06 last night and got beat by 3 lengths on the 1/4. car pulled boost in 3rd and 4th gears.... not sure why. had the vbox going and 12.1 and 12.3 @122. gotta figure out why car went from mid 130s to low 120s...

Check the boost in your car and next beat the hell out of that Vet.

 

Vette is a 11.0@130mph car in street trim. Very fast indeed. I dont know if I can beat the hell out of him, but my car should beat it. Even at the power level I was at last night, it still took him till 3rd gear to pass me on the run with the bike.

No worries another day, he was a good sport about..... Plus I had a VBox running so i know something is up.
