awdbiturbo1: your guess is as good as mine. Many people have flaked out on appointments to come and see the car--in fact, of the handful of people that were local and setup a date/time to come see the car not a single one has followed through.

 

This is QUITE tempting. I've been looking for a rather clean 996tt and Seal Grey is my favorite color

 

Car has recently been PPI'd for a potential buyer and nothing major is wrong. There are some minor repairs, which according to the service advisor would be mostly "cosmetic" as they don't have an effect on the performance/function of the car.

The PPI did find that the front struts needed to be repaired as one of the housing bolts (or something along those lines) was de-threading. They fixed both struts and the car rides even smoother than it did before.

Up until now the car was only for sale on this forum in order to make sure it landed in another enthusiast's garage, but it's time to move this thing, so it's going on Craigslist, Autotrader, and eventually eBay Motors.

It's been on here exclusively for 6 months and it still hasn't sold even though, according to most PM's and comments, this is a great price for a clean car with an extended bumper-to-bumper warranty.

Sadly, most of the people interested in the car have completely flaked. There has been one exception, but that's a pending sale.

 

I hear ya. I'm not flaking, I'm TRYING to get my car sold and it's just a rough market right now!

 

No you're definitely not a flake. I'm referring to people who setup a date and time to come see the car, which the owner is very accommodating for, then they just don't show up. It's happened on a few occasions and I know things come up, but at least call/email that you're not going to make it.
