As an FYI, some of the early 3 mode boxes had a software glitch that would prevent them from being able to have custom programming done to them - I had one. At the time, TPC would swap the box for a corrected one, but it would only have the current 2 modes. The light behavior is different as well. On this early box, the PASM button light will flash with the mode number it's set in. They changed this on the 2 mode box to be either on or off.

I only bring this up because if someone purchases this with the intention of creating their own custom maps, that might not be possible and I'm not sure what TPC's current position on swapping the box to an owner that isn't the original one would be now that it has been a few years since these versions of the boxes were released. I only know of one owner of an early 3 mode box who could program it.

OP, you might want to contact Tom at TPC to see if they'd be on-board with upgrading the box for a new owner if it turns out he can't program it and wants to.

GLWS. Good price as it's a couple hundred dollar discount.

That's great. It makes this box pretty unique as one of the only 3 mode boxes with write capability for someone who wants 3 distinct modes. I'm actually thinking about picking it up and then selling mine as it would give me a comfy street DD mode, a more aggressive street mode when running fast and needing stiffer suspension for straight line running and lane change maneuvers, then a "go nuts mode" for serious mountain running and tracking.

Glad you checked it out.
