Right now we have one sitting in our showroom that belongs to us and must get at least 5 calls per day from all over the world with crazy high offers on the car. I can't imagine how a dealership could have one sitting on their showroom floor and NOT sell it...unless it's privately owned and not part of their inventory. No dealers got 918's for "stock"...they had to be purchased by an individual.

$70,000 for paint :0. Not knocking the price of the car. Just can't believe a manufacturer can pull that kind of premium on paint and have people pay it. Simply astonishing. Amazing car, beautiful in every way.

BUT - not only is the paint job an additional $70k, knowing Porsche it would cost extra to NOT do it.

Wait a year, this price will seem like a bargain. When cars get in this price range they get bought by people where 2-3 mil is a rounding error on their aircraft expenses. Financial mortals need not apply. If you owned this car would you even leave 50k on the table?

Hot car. This is going to be like the Ford GT's. When they came out, dealers were sitting on them for way longer than they anticipated, and couldn't move them for a long time. Now the values are sky high and everybody wants to get their hands on one. My Porsche salesman was trying to shove me into a 918 that they had sitting in the showroom for months, and offering ridiculous discounts.
9 _ _ ??

I filled it in for you. I highly doubt any discount is given for the 918. The 981 however is getting discounts b/c everyone is waiting for the GT4.

Anyways, don't want to detract from this sale of this hot car. Hope it finds a buyer soon!
