I am still confused on what will work in what system on these cars and for different years. The listing says 99 - 01, but I thought it was basically the same head unit for all.

Can someone verify before I buy it for nothing?

Thanks.

edit: I'm looking at it, and it looks like a unit that plays tapes. I can't verify that it plays CDs. Also, the thing seems thin. Where's the back end of it? hehe

Poursha is on a distinguished road
It looks like a CDR-220, which plays CDs (CDR stands for CD radio?). I had that one in my '02 Carrera with Bose.

There was a CR-210 in my '99 Carrera, which played cassettes and had the removable font panel.

You don't want a CDR-23, which is for the MOST system (MY03+).

Thanks guys. I will buy this one if the price doesn't go too high.

This will make my other post about how to get around the lack of an AUX output irrelevant.
