Sold: BBi 996/997TT Slave Cylinder Conversion Kit

Category: Drivetrain
Price: $0
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: Porsche 911 997 Turbo, Porsche 911 996 Turbo
Location (State): AL
Item Condition: Brand New

Looking for $1050 shipped + ppal fees, brand new/never installed.

Bought this from another member here last year with hopes of a DIY install. I can't stand the stock clutch with the hydraulic assist, but decided not to do the install myself. Here are some takeaways from the BBi website

Eliminates the problematic OEM power-assisted clutch slave cylinder for improved reliability

Significantly improves the clutch feel and engagement

Designed to be slightly softer than the factory 996 GT2 conversion kit for excellent drivability

Proprietary plug and play design

Retains clutch master cylinder, hose, and spring pack

Requires less installation time than other slave cylinder conversion kits

Does not adversely affect clutch life

Precision CNC machined and hard anodized aluminum construction

Hard anodized 7075 aluminum piston

Designed for Porsche 996 and 997 Turbo

Bump - reduced to $1000.

Just did the GT2 conversion and loving some actual clutch feedback in the pedal. I'm currently having some issues with the power steering at rest. This BBi setup does not have any potential problems with the PS circuit.

Are there any other parts involved? Trying to decide which way to go as there are a few options. Really don't like the stock clutch since I replaced virtually everything.

Nothing else needed, although you could install a GT3 assist spring up front if you decide the pedal is too stiff.

Have put a question out to the Rennlist public looking for feedback as to which way is best. Personally leaning toward the BBI as it seems to be the easiest option. Would look at having this mailed to a friend in Oregon should I decide to go with the BBI. What would be the best you could do price wise? Live in BC Canada so the exchange rate is a killer.

Installed BBI slave and a new oem master. Had a bit of trouble bleeding the system until I bought a $20 bleeder on line. Tool worked better than any one I have ever used. Anyhow, car has been a dream to drive since removing the stock slave/accumulator and installing the BBI setup. Happy happy!
Regards
Al
