2002 Imola Red on Red/Black sport 67K $25K

Year: 2002
Make: BMW
Model: M5
Price: $25000
Mileage: 67625
Color: RED
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): NH
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

Up for sale is my beloved M5. Technician owned for the past 5 years. Current odometer reads 67,625. I do not daily drive the car, but mileage will of course go up as I do drive it on nice days. I have known the car since it was purchased by the previous owner (A previous M5board member as well) with 38K miles (car was 100% stock) I performed major service work on the car when needed, upuntil the time it was traded in at a local Volvo dealer. Long story short; We unknowingly had both been interested and talking with the Gentleman in PA with it advertised for sale online in 2007. Next thing I knew it showed up for PPI (post sale inspection at that point) at my old shop and I instantly knew the car! Small world...

I purchased the vehicle with 50K (still 100% stock) when I heard it had been traded in @ Volvo for a new vehicle. I am the 4th owner of the car, CARFAX shows an accident at the rear of the vehicle. Car had the rear bumper painted, and paint work on the RR quarter. The CARFAX states this to have happened in Louisiana in 2009 at 50k. The body work was known and witnessed on the car when it arrived from PA in 2007. I assume the mileage/accident entry to be a discrepancy on CarFax' end. The paint work performed on the vehicle is extremely well done, and that was very important to me.

The basics:
-Prod. Date 10/2001
-VIN: WBSDE93432CF90083
-Imola Red on Red/Black sport interior
-Alcantara headliner
-M Audio/DSP

Car has the following aftermarket modifications:

- AutoSolutions Short shifter
- ESS software (7200RPM limiter, Sport memory, Removed top speed limiter)
- Rogue Engineering X pipe with resonators, B&B triflow Muffler section
- Dinan Cold air intake system with outer wear filter covers, and complete rain deflection portion
- MKIV DVD NAV unit - NEW DVD drive, Latest software version, OLD North eastern area disc.

- Exotic Tuning Front lip (with an extra carbon fiber insert included)
- Exotic Tuning Rear Diffuser (carbon fiber)
- Alpina style Rear spoiler
- 30% tint all around, 20% at rear window
- BG lowering springs (car rides very close to stock)
- Gloss black Kidney Grills (painted locally/professionally)
- Painted Black stock wheels (same local painter/same time)
- Foglights vinyl tinted (lenses were pitted, and I don't use them *removable)
- Taillights have tinted Vinyl (100% perfect in appearance and VERY easily removed)
- Painted/tinted stock sidemarkers (very light/smoke in appearance)
-Painted Gloss Red calipers, Painted gloss black brackets
MAINTENANCE/REPAIR
-38k Clutch/throwout bearing/pilot bearing/clutch fork/pivot and spring. This was performed at previous owners initial purchase
-38K LR swaybar bracket (same as above)
-55K Rear main seal was replaced due to it seaping oil slightly. I replaced to prevent clutch disk contamination, etc.
-58K Valve cover gaskets + grommets- both banks
-64K LF/LR/RR window vapor barriers + reseal (Oh so common E46/E38/E39 failure point)
-65K Thermostat, all 6 o-rings (pressure tested, etc. Replaced due to BMW FC104)
-66,5K 4 New Tires - Dunlop Direzza DZ101s. (I replaced 4 Pirelli PZero Neros, HATED them) 1100 Miles on the new ones.
-67K 4 wheel brakes complete; Pads/Rotors/Sensor 100% FACTORY BMW.
-67K Final stage unit
-67K Bank 1 Valve cover gasket + grommets (seaping due to sitting in garage for winter)
-67K Hood Roundel
-67K X5 thrust arm bushings
-67,6K BRAND NEW OEM Windshield and Windshield Molding (molding cracked due to age, window had small mark at upper right side of glass) Professionally installed by Steve @ Proficient Auto Glass (He does all our dealer Front/rear windshield replacement, NONE better)
-67,6K RF door lock actuator (was still working, however sluggish at times) Resealed unscathed vapor barrier with OEM butyl.

I place the interior condition at 9/10. There are very few blemishes. 1 mark at passenger rear seat/shoulder area. Shifter is worn in normal areas due to usage, drivers seat bottom shows light marking/wear All bolsters in perfect condition. Left side of center air vent has cracked trim area -top left corner (very common and previously replaced)
The bad:
- The front end has rock chips/wear. I consider the exterior paint to be a 7/10 due to this (I am very picky) She is 11 years old so I consider the paint to be "driver" status.
- Rear view mirror has discolored. Unsure if I will send this out for repair or not a this time (common failure, $550 for new OEM, $100 for repair service)
-Pixelation at instrument cluster has started in 2 areas *minor, within the past 2 weeks. I am working on this, but would rather disclose this now if I do not come to a solution.

There is a LOT of money in replacement parts on this car, and I'm sure that I've forgotten a few. I have been servicing the BMW brand for just shy of 10 years. I've worked on LOTS of these particular cars and I know they always seem to need SOMETHING. I have done my best to keep mine within the upper echelon of them all. I have extreme auto OCD so I do my best to keep things mint; the cars I own are my pride and joy.

That said, this post gives the jist of things. $25K is my asking price, I'm not considering any trades. If you are interested in the car, please contact me for further information, etc. I have planned to gauge interest on this forum, as well as 1 other before moving on to Autotrader/Ebay. I'm hoping this car goes to another enthusiast first and foremost! Please excuse my photos, I lack photographic abilities.

Serious parties only please, Thanks guys!!!
