The thing is, you can't buy it for MSRP without sitting on a waiting list for at least a year, and that's if you have previously owned some F-cars. If this is your first F-car purchase, you are looking at a significant waiting list (years) before you can even have the chance to buy the car. Ferrari typically monitors their car sales (new/used) for flipping and is known to blacklist buyers who do so from purchasing a new one again any time soon.

-Exactly, Ferrari is one of the few, if not the best, exotic car manufacturer (or any car manufacturer for that matter) that keeps production to a considerable minimum.. This is why Ferrari's hold their value virtually better than any other vehicle on the road. The price is over MSRP because that is what the market is. You simply cannot find them for considerably less and it is all based on availability. We have several Ferraris i.e. 458 spyder, FF, and several others that are all over MSRP because that is simply what they are worth and the sales prove that to be true.
Nice car. It is kind of funny that you say to not pay the ridiculous markup the dealer wants and then you are almost $50k over yourself. Guess I'll never be the target market for this kind of transaction - makes zero sense to me.

I thought the deal is(nearly positive) that you pay MSRP for a new Ferrari after waiting. I didn't think the dealers could mark up the new cars for over MSRP. The ones that come back from the speculators or trade ins could be sold for whatever the market will bear but not the actual brand new ones.
