If you're looking for this car, you already know what it is. And how rare the C2S is for 1997. Yes, it's a Tiptronic S transmission. I wanted that feature because when I originally bought it, I was going to commute. Well then, before the weather turned bad, I bought another car so I wouldn't need to drive the Porsche in weather. Or leave it in the sun for too long... or drive it on dirt roads... You get my drift. So, it turns out that the transmission is adaptive, and will adjust to your driving style (i.e. how hard you've been pushing on the gas pedal for the last little while.). Suffice it to say, the auto-trans in the 993 rocks. But on to the car.

Bought it in LA in 2010, and drove it to Northern VA. This isn't my first Porsche, but it is my first air cooled. The CarFax is clean, and this car had all the features I was looking for.

Here's a partial list of what I've replaced on the Porsche since I bought it almost 5 years ago:

All 4 struts - (Bilstein PSS9s. Lifetime warranty)
Lower front control arms (because of the bushings)
Tie rod assemblies/boots
4 tires (Hankook Venus premium tires)
Both window control switches
Radio (new unit is a gorgeous Becker internal CD model that really fits well with the interior. Had the faceplate modified for better viewing from driver angle, and rear speakers replaced)
Driver's door check was repaired
Both door panels have been repaired and reinforced to fix the classic "sag" of the door panels
Alternator bearing and new fan belts, 15k miles ago
60k mile service performed 2k miles ago. (Spark plugs, dist caps and drive belt, rotors, engine air filter, cabin air filters, fuel filter, oil cooler and evaporator fan resistors, all fluids - the list just goes on...)
All four brake rotors, pads, wear sensors were replaced 200 miles ago
Like I said, I have all the receipts, and have scanned them. Email me if you'd like to see them.

The exterior of the car is gorgeous. I get it professionally detailed, buffed out and waxed 2 times a year. It's been parked in garages since I bought it. Unless I'm driving somewhere. I have covered parking at work and a secured garage at home. There aren't any door dings, bumper dings, discoloration anywhere on the body or in the paint. The only exception are a few standard rock chips to the front (I did drive it from CA to VA!). And you won't find a more beautiful color. Arena Red Metallic.

It's a non-smoker's car and the interior is fantastic. Black supple leather seats with no cuts or abrasions (see picks). The only problem with the interior are a few hairline cracks a the top of the dash, over the instruments. Couldn't get them to show up in the photos I took, but if you're interested in the car, I'll try again.

The motor is a work of art. Motor Sound Package from Porsche, and it is tuned to a tee. Oil changes every 3k miles, fresh 60K mile tune service, and runs beautifully. No air injector light yet (Knock wood!), and it recently passed state inspection as well as emissions testing. There is a minor oil leak from the right bank. One mechanic said it could be a timing chain cover. If the car sits long enough, there will be a small spot where you park it. Unsure of the repair cost, but it's only been a minor annoyance. Finally, the sunroof needs the rear part of the seal re-glued. It's coming up just a little at the back.

Comes with 2 keys, 2 remote fobs, car cover and Porsche battery maintainer

Will work to upload more photos. Car is located in Reston, VA
