With our first child on the way I am reluctantly listing my beloved 981 Cayman for sale to make room for something with a back seat. After owning a handful of M cars, Z06s, and many more toys over the years, I can honestly say the Cayman was by far the best car I have ever owned. Hands down. Drives like a baby 458 Italia and is as reliable as a Camry. Last of the N/A Flat-6 engine!

I would rate the exterior condition at a 9.0-9.5/10. Only blemishes to speak of are a very small door ding on the rear driver side fender. Probably easily removed but not very noticeable so I didn’t bother. Small door ding on passenger door which is also not very noticeable. That’s about it. Otherwise paint is in great condition. I would rate the interior condition at a 9.5/10. No real wear to speak of but I don’t believe in rating any used car a 10. The car has always been garaged and has barely seen rain never mind snow. It has never been raced or abused, only lovingly cared for and maintained.

• A quick search of 2014 base, 6-speed Caymans with mileage between 17-21k miles shows an average asking price of over $48k. Having said that, I would rather not have this car sit unsold for an extended period of time and have therefore priced it to move. Given the condition, up to date maintenance, remaining warranty coverage, as well as the factory and additional options, I believe my asking price is quite reasonable.
