95 993 Speed Yellow (with over $20k track goodies invested) FS
it is with very heavy heart and I tried my best to talk him out of it but Eric's 993 is available for sale. It has a ton of goodies (around $20k invested) to make it a very fun weekend DE track car. It has been used for DEs but never autocross and this car's previous owner was from southern California and never used it for anything but a daily driver (former a female owned daily driver). It was bone stock when getting it but it did have some goodies like:
-6speed with limited slip
-expensive factory sport option steering wheel (with the bumps/hand grips like the 3 spoke one at the 10 and 3 o'clock positions)
- nicer stainless shift **** (an upgrade option for the 993)
- nicer stainless hand brake
- tail painted speed yellow to color match
(the entire car was repainted by the previous owner due to every day wear and tear and NOT because of any accidents and I can tell you that the paint quality is better than factory and it is very obvious when you get close to it.. no orange peel)
So what was done to it since Eric got it?
- Lightweight flywheel of course with new clutch
- DAS BAR powdercoated yellow to match
- 5 point belts with Recaro SRD (yes the old comfy ones)
- Big Red brake upgrade with custom air cooling tubing to the fronts
- 18" carrera lightweight wheel upgrade with steering brace installed
- H&R RSSaa Club Sport suspension (this is the Aluminum bodied one with top and bottom mono-ball mounts front and rear)
- all Spherical bearings installed to replace all the rubber suspension components
- REAR euro factory bumper without bumperette's installed just recently!
- short shift kit also
- complete tune up including brand new beru spark plug wires, new bosch spark plugs, ALL new belts (yes this includes the steering belt and distributor belt)
- GIAC chip upgrade
- and full clear bra applied of course!
- brushed aluminum billet interior door handles also installed/upgraded
- brand new Optima Red top just installed in April last year
- RS Motor mounts installed last year as well making shifting soo much nicer!
- TRG Front and rear sway bars as well of course!
- alignment done for track specs with -2.8 in front and -2.25 in rear
What this car doesn't have or needs?
--- the stereo and speakers were removed and are long gone (weight loss for track) ...the interior is complete so the speaker covers are still in place for the factory hi-fi option but even the factory hi-fi AMP is gone
-- the factory parking brake was also disconnected and the pads removed and thrown away (it had ALCON rear brakes but they have since been removed and factory stock rear disc brakes are back in place now) -- you would need to purchase new parking brake pads to make the parking brake usable again
-- it will need new tires and new brake pads (currently has worn out DSSRs front and rear on the wheels and the brake pads are at less than 50% IIRC and are pagid black in rear and I forgot what is in front at the moment)
So this is a 1995 993 in Speed Yellow with just over 100K miles on it. WE got it from Marina Del Ray with just over 90k miles on it so we only put just over 10k miles on it since owning it a little over 2 years.
It has NEVER seen winter and is currently in expensive climate controled storage where it is year round since we have in-out ability during the summer. (the storage alone is over $2k a year but it is always 70 degrees and dry there)
..and the price is $39,000 FIRM as it sits (we have storage paid in full until the end of Sept 2006 as an FYI so this isn't a must sell today type of deal) Please do not ask for pieces and parts as there is no intention or plan on parting out the goodies that were so painstakedly and lovingly installed!
I don't think I need to put the price breakdown of all the upgrades because you guys all know how much these goodies cost!
I'm also 99.9% sure I forgot some of the upgrades because so much was done!
This car has also NEVER been off-track! Yes, that's right, NO OTEs with this car EVER! (Eric is a very good driver and doesn't take chances at the track during DEs and will come in if the weather turns sour or he gets too tired)
I have to find more photos and take more but here are a few I found from track days this past season:

If this car is the one that is in the chicago area and ran with Performance Driving at Blackhawk(i think those pics are from blackhawk) it is a nice car and the owners are nice people. I ran at an event with them and the car looked to be well taken care of.
