So meaty tires John! Nice to see they fit thanks to your suspension mods!

How were the lap times or speed against the Viper ACR? Sure the outcome is driver dependent, but interesting to know is the ACR a car that rules the track days around there? Not many buys them in Europe as you have to import them yourself and the warranty is USA only, and Viper engines are notorious to die in race conditions...

Hey Kai,
How are you? Hope everything is getting sorted on your end. It was my first time at COTA and unfortunately I only got to run 4 sessions the first day as it ended up raining non stop for the rest of the weekend. It's a very technical track and not an easy one to learn quickly. I would have loved to have run another day as I was starting to feel pretty comfortable with the nuances of the track at the end of the first day. Looking at data, there is probably an easy 6-7 seconds on the table with track familiarity especially if combined with Hoosiers or slicks.

As far as the Viper ACR, I can't recall if it was a local driver or not. Just like me it might have been the guys first time out there. I got around him early in one of the sessions and never saw him again. From what I hear those cars should be very very quick but I have yet to see one driven very fast. I'm sure in the right hands it is. I ran with one a couple of years ago at Miller (might have been the previous generation one) and had an easy 5-7 seconds per lap on him. Again, no idea about the driver. I know the ZR1 engines overheat under track conditions but don't know anything about the Viper engines. Any progress on your engine?

The NT01 335s run very wide for their size, more like a 345 and they are 26" tall. The section width is just under 14". Great tires..

Great looking pics, going to ask the same Qs regarding the Viper times

Wondering, dont you throw rocks any other things from your front tires on the back of the car and damage the paint? I am considering to clear wrap the back of the car

My mirrors are chipped up but nothing else on the side of the car Fadi. The car numbers not the doors help shield the paint in that area. I have clear bra under the intercooler intakes down to the rockers in the rear quarter panels.

The ACR's are very, very driver dependent. Maybe even more so than 911's. Especially anything pre 991. Very good drivers in them are less common than the car itself. The gear ratios are completely different from just about anything. However the head of SRT happens to be an awesome driver and dominates track days with a few of his friends regularly. A properly driven ACR should be 2:17-2:18 ish at COTA, but that's haulin.
