As I'm sure you know, Porsche does not recommend a 20" wheel for the 997 turbo. The largest diameter that Porsche recommends is 19".

That being said, there are several people on this board who are running 20" wheels and they seem pleased with them. Hopefully one of those people can give you some advice on wheel sizes, offsets, and tire sizes. The AWD system is sensitive to tire sizes, so you'll want to keep the overall diameter (tire + wheel) as close as possible from front to rear.

Which wheels are you considering?

I have these HRE FF01's in-stock and ready to ship out. Sizing is 20"x8.5" // 20"x11".

Not only are you buying from arguably the best wheel brand in the world but these wheels start at $625 per wheel!

Recommended tire sizes with these wheels by HRE's engineers is 235/35/19 || 305/30/19.

PM me for more details.

That's a nice looking wheel. Post some pics when you get your new wheels installed.

Interesting to see people running 245/35/20 and 325/30/20 - would result in a larger diameter overall than the 19" setup an I'd expect would potentially become and issue for those with lowered cars. For those of you running this size, are you also running lowered via springs or coilovers?

Hi

I am looking to fit a set of 991 20" gt3 rs wheels to my 997.2 turbo s.

Stock 19" are et 56 8.5j 235/35/19 front and et 51 11j 305/30/19.

gt3 rs wheels from the dealer are et55 9j 235/35/20 front and et 47 12j 305/30/20.

Can anyone guide me and advise if they have run the 235/35/20 and 305/30/20 setup on a 997.2 turbo s.

Wanting to know if it creates any issues with the diffs. Want to keep the sidewall height as close to 19" setup for comfort which i understand is not ideal.

The overall error is 3.74% which I understand is over the ideal threshold of 3%. The other problem is that im battling to find n rated tyres in 20" here except for the 235/35/20 and 305/30/20.

thanks

To make that work and keep your car from destroying the differential you would have to run 235/30/20 & 305/25/20 tires.
