This picture was taken this spring. I have since sold my Supra and IS300 sedan, but I still have my black IS300 wagon and black S6 that are not pictured. I will admit it is tough to get everyone cleaned up at the same time for family photos

I don't hate black cars at all. I actually LOVE black. However, unless I end up with enough money to pay someone ELSE to detail the car(s) every 2-3 days - which black cars require if they even get PARKED outside, let alone driven - then I have decided to go with lower maintenance colors. Even if they do get detailed all the time, the detailer needs to be extremely experienced and extremely diligent in order to detail them properly and not leave swirl marks. After my first black car, I told myself "never again." I ended up buying a black daily driver more recently (and the requisite cabinet full of car detailing products) just because it was a good deal, and it just reinforced my original conclusion. Not surprisingly, my current cars are all various shades of silver, which hide dust and swirl marks incredibly well. A friend aptly told me when referring to cars, "Black isn't a color. It's an occupation."

Yup, I love the look of black too but I basically wipe-down my TT before and sometimes also after each significant drive. It'll start looking dirty just sitting in the garage after a week or so. Back in 2014-15 when I drove it way more, I had a membership at a local high-end wash/detail shop for unlimited hand washes...
The other issue which is way more pronounced with dark-colored vehicles parked outside all the time, is they're big heat sinks. My big truck is also black and sits outside soaking up the SoCal sun while also having sucky A/C. I don't care much about keeping it clean like the nicer cars but still, the next truck will be white or silver...
