Tire Pressure Light , but tire pressures are good.
i assume the sensor has gone bad, but it's only a year old or less. it says it's down 4 psi even though its actually at 38 where it should be. any insight would be great .

Same here. Last night it even had a scary red "FLAT TIRE!!" warning, even though pressures were fine. I've heard pumping them up to higher pressures can help resettle the sensor. Another tactic is to add air and toggle between summer/winter and full-load/partial-load settings in the menu to recalibrate.
Related question: we've all heard about how improperly sized tires can wreck the differential - how about if a couple tires are underinflated?

Most TPMS failures are caused by tire pressure sensors that have reached the end of the road. The batteries inside the tire pressure sensors have a service life that typically ranges from 5 to 7 years. The service life can vary depending on how many miles a vehicle is driven (the more it is driven, the more frequently the sensors generate a signal and drain their batteries).

We have sensors if needed. Most run about $90 each for Porsche.
