New 1/4mi record for stock K16s (Markski Tuned)
Looking to best my previous 11.39, I contacted Markski/911 Tuning a few weeks ago and asked a ton of questions about his tuning process.
I pulled the trigger during his black Friday special and he had the flasher to me in a few days. I felt that the car was fast before but going with his MAFless tunes completely woke this car up even more. I want to thank Marek / Markski tuning for answering my hundreds of questions, even last year when I was running another company's tune he still took the time to talk with me. He always made himself accessible and always extremely responsive. He's a perfectionist when it comes to calibrating and the result speaks for itself.
Setup:
Tiptronic Trans
Stock/Untouched K16s
Speedtech 3" X-pipe with 100cell cats
Markski MAFless 93 oct & MS109 tuning with filters on turbos.
Front driveshaft removed.
Everything else is bone stock.
Unfortunately we didn't get to record the 11.03 pass but I did back it up with an 11.05 and got video from a friend. This car IS a 10.9x car as it sits but with better tires. I had to either launch easy and deal with some lag or launch hard and spin. Very impressed with how effective this combo is, especially coming from running a 12.4@113mph when it was stock.
MAF to MAFless: MUCH quicker spool, less throttle needed for normal driving and sounds damn cool when in/out of the boost. On the same fuel (MS109), we shaved off 3/10ths going from a canned MAF tune to Markski's custom MAFless tuning. Any of his tuning and parts are HIGHLY recommended for anyone in the market.

I've got some more hi-res pics coming but these are what I had on my phone for now.

Now i'm thinking a set of intercoolers will easily put me in the 10's. Or even just a 5bar PPR and more tuning. It never stops!

I have clients running same mph on stock intake as well. The ET wasn't there but the mph is.
It's not about anyone not believing you, I think 124 is doable on both maf and mafless. Et may be a different story though.
Here is one a while back. Stock intake on maf

The Tiptronic shifts into 4th at around 120mph and almost feels like an overdrive gear. I wish 3rd was just a hair longer so I can go through the traps at the top of it. This car has went 123mph with the MAF & stock intake before but the ET & 60ft drastically improved going MAFless.

Very nice!
Get rid of those cats man and pick up some more power and spool let alone killer sound off of that Speedtech man!! Those super small housing needs as much help as possible so get John to ship you test pipes yesterday!
Who ever says that filters right off of the turbos do not tremendously help on a 996, HAS NEVER SEEN THE STOCK PIPING!! How that EVER left the factory is beyond me, but a great way to pick up some spool and power. I personally would not do filters right off of the turbos for a street car (dirt water, cleaning etc), but John at Speetech has a killer open set up that runs right into the air box. I also know Markski has a simpler hose set up.
Like to see the progression of this set up.
Is this on MS109 or pump?
